    Ireland feels neglected by P

I've seen a few post up requesting portishead come to certain countries, and I understand that they don't want to get into the big stadium rock thing. Having a life and a private life is far more important! I was just wondering if P are ever, any time in the future going to play in Ireland. Any plans in the pipeline?

I'm with the OP on this one...there was a rumour that P was going to play at Electric Picnic...is this just a vicious rumour to get me excited?

I hadn't heard that rumour myself, I tried to get the band list from the Electric Picnic website, but the site is just a mess and they never emailed me what i requested. That would be fabulous if they played the Picnic, I'll have to investigate to see is it worth going to the scalpers to get tickets, cos I think they're sold out! If Portishead are playing, I'll be there one way or another. I'll post what i find so you're kept up to date.Wink

read something on NME that P are not going to play any more live gigs this year - doesn't look good!

I was under the same impression Ups, thought the touring and live stuff had finished, but you never know. I finally managed to get into the Electric Picnic website (all the bright colours confused me last time, and I just wanted to get out of there!) and they're not on the list. I've signed up for updates, but I doubt we'll be seeing them in Ireland this year :( ah well, I'll let you know if I get any good news from the updates, but don't get too hopefull!
